Russell Brand is getting his own live late night TV talk show in 2012.

The comedian will host six half-hour installments of an unscripted as-yet-untitled show for FX in front of a live audience.

Us TV network FX announced this week that Russell Brand will host six thirty minute unscripted late night talk shows in 2012.

According to the network, the show will feature his “unvarnished, unfiltered take on current events, politics and pop culture.”

Brand himself has said…

“I am so excited I’m on the point of climax, in fact I will put the “O” into FX, which spells Fox, which is actually the channel’s real name. That’s the only thing that worries me about all this to be honest.”

Russell has always been known for speaking and tweeting his mind and it will be interesting to see how he brings this trait to live television!
