A new RuPaul app is set to be released after initial beta testing. It will be a sequel to RuPaul’s Drag Race: Dragopolis. The Dragopolis sequel will feature the return of evil drag queen, Apocalypstyk. Apocalypstyk steals gowns, wigs, and accessories and it’s your job to help RuPaul get them back over 45 levels.
This new RuPaul app will feature the voices of Pandora Boxx, Manila Luzon, Yara Sofia, Alaska, Jinkx Monsoon, Jujubee, Ongina, Shangela, Sharon Needles and Raven.
Jeff Meadow from So Much Drama Studios explains how the first game was developed,
“Queens are such fun and they’re such characters — it was a great opportunity to bring something like that that has such joy and passion to it, to bring it to life within a video game where we could really take it and make it very cartoony and over the top in a lot of different ways.”
He continues that they went to the drag extremes in developing the game,
“We never pulled back on anything. It was always more glitter, more sparkle, more beads. We put it all in there to really create something that’s celebratory of the LGBT community and the drag community as well.”
