Municipality creates giant rainbow flag for Tel Aviv Pride.

They transformed the side of a municipal building in a lead up to the 16th annual Pride Parade.

Here’s another reason why rukkle chose Tel Aviv as one of our top 10 gay pride festivals this year.

A municipality has created a giant rainbow flag for Tel Aviv Pride made up of 480 colourful LED lightbulbs. The municipality did this as part of their celebrations for the 16th annual Pride Parade. They completely transformed the side of a municipal building in Rabin Square to create this awesome tribute to gay pride.

Tel Aviv Pride this year has the slogan,

“Tel Aviv marches for equality.”

Mayor Ron Huldai of Tel Aviv will start the annual parade on June 13th. Moran Atias, an Israeli model and now Hollywood actress will host their signature party, which will also include the 2014 Tolerance Award. Dana International will perform the official song of the Israeli LGBT movement, Children Are Happiness, as the event’s guest of honour.

The month of June will be filled with gay pride events including the Tel Aviv LGBT International Film Festival, which recently made rukkle’s list of best gay film festivals in 2014.
