Mark Wahlberg has apologised for a 9/11 comment he made to Mens Journal.

Wahlberg, who was scheduled to be on one of the ill-fated flights that crashed into the World Trade Center in 2001, said “it wouldn’t have went down like it did” had he been onboard.

Mark Wahlberg has apologised for comments he made about the 9/11 attacks during an interview with Men’s Journal magazine.

During the interview, he said that he could have saved one of the planes that crashed had he been onboard…

“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry’.”

Wahlberg has now apologises for his comments. The actor told TMZ

“To suggest I would have done anything differently than the passengers on that plane was irresponsible… To speculate about such a situation is ridiculous to begin with. I deeply apologise to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive – it was certainly not my intention.”
