The names of the characters not returning to ‘Glee’ season four have been announced.

‘Glee’ boss Ryan Murphy confirmed the names in an interview this week and rukkle has the list here.

Today’s revelations are the latest update to a story rukkle first reported in June; where we highlighted that Glee boss Ryan Murphy confirmed rumors online that some Glee cast members were being replaced at the end of season three…

“That is true. I don’t think of it in terms of eliminating or replacing, I don’t like that word. Because I think the thing about this cast is people love them and they are incredibly talented. They’ve left sort of an indelible mark”

The Latest

In an interview this week with The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy comfirmed that Lea Michele (Rachel Berry), Chris Colfer (Kurt Hummel) and Cory Monteith (Finn Hudson) will not be returning to Glee season four. During the interview, Murphy said…

“You can keep them on the show for six years and people will criticize you for not being realistic, or you can be really true to life and say when they started the show they were very clearly sophomores and they should graduate at the end of their senior year.”

Murphy added that planning for the future beyond high school will be a heavy theme during Season 3, saying that “more characters are leaving than are staying” when graduation time comes at the end of the season.
