Sacha Baron Cohen was escorted off the red carpet after emptying an urn containing the “ashes” of North Korean premier Kim Jong-il all over Ryan Seacrest!

The Awards opening film, lead by host Billy Crystal, featured among others, George Clooney and Justin Bieber!

Academy Awards 2012 – The Winners List

Silent film ‘The Artist’ dominated Sunday’s ceremony becoming the first silent movie in 84 years to win an Oscar for Best Film, and also picked up the Best Actor award for Jean Dujardin, and Best Director for Michel Hazanavicius.

Meanwhile, Martin Scorsese’s 3D film ‘Hugo’ took the most awards, picking up five of its eleven nominations in categories including Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Sound Mixing.

The first official images of Bane on the set of The Dark Knight Rises have been unveiled online.

The two pictures feature Christian Bale as Batman and more prominently Tom Hardy as the main villain Bane.

The first image sees Bane holding up a photo of the deceased Harvey Dent while standing on top of an armed vehicle.

The second shows Batman and Bane in a scene wehere they are about to square off against each other.

Lets be honest celebrities dress ridiculously half the time anyway, but despite this they still like to go all out for Halloween!

So what better time than Halloween itself to look at some of the beautiful people’s more interesting costumes…

Paris Hilton is a US Soldier

Yes Paris is a Private (as opposed to filming her privates). It’s a classic case of take a standard costume, a “soldier”, make it skimpy and add heaps of make-up and suspenders making it a “slutty soldier”.

Although we have it on good authority that Paris thinks this is standard US army attire. If that was the case it’d be no wonder Bush never wanted to pull out… of Iraq.

Mickey Rourke is some sort of a white thing

Here we have Mickey Rourke in the 80’s, face literally covered in cocaine but- what? Really?…

Apparently this is Mickey Rourke on Halloween 2009, dressed as “some sort of a white thing”…

whatever makes you feel better about yourself Mickey.

Kate Beckinsale is a slutty devil

Remember Halloween when you were young girls? You’d get to play around with the make-up, maybe you got yourself a fancy dress to make yourself up like a pretty flamenco dancer.

You’d practice your accent getting excited about the night of trick-or-treating ahead when your mother would come down the stairs looking like specialist high class prostitute in skin tight latex and say “come on, lets show the neighbours your mom’s still got it”…

Lindsay Lohan is a slutty fire chief

You think a slutty fire chief is pushing it don’t you? In what possible world could there exist a slutty fire chief?

Well we at rukkle like to think that there is an alternative world where girls like Lindsay Lohan don’t become washed up movie stars bouncing between rehab and prison like an eternal game of Pong.

In this world they become fire chiefs, slutty ones… and that world is a world in flames!

Lady Gaga is Cruella de Vil

What does someone who casually dresses up as overpriced modern art all other days of the year dress up for at Halloween?

Lady Gaga certainly inspires a lot of costumes that’s for sure. You’ve probably already seen some uncomfortable girl with a giant triangle taped to herself already this year.

Despite this Lady Gaga seems to lay low around this time, but last year in Belfast she was papped dressed as Cruella de Vil of the Disney classic 101 Dalmatians.

It wouldn’t surprise us if Gaga actually succeeded where Cruella failed and had a spotty dog fur dress made… it would explain where that meat dress came from.

Snooki is the Pickle Queen

What’s a Snooki? What’s a Pickle Queen? Why’s this here?

A Snooki is an orange girl and a popular member of the reality show Jersey Shore.

A “pickle queen” is a type of prostitute from Victorian London who did everything the other prostitutes wouldn’t, she was paid in pig’s feet which she ate raw with pickles*.

Although in this case it may be because Snooki once talked about how she likes to suck pickles and felt that this piece of trivial information hit the zeitgeist so hard that people would immediately understand when she turn up as the pickle queen.

Why’s it here? No idea, the whole thing stinks of nobody cares. Move along.

Heidi Klum is many different things

This list can not be complete without the celebrity queen of Halloween, Heidi Klum.

For the last 12 years she has had a massive annual Halloween Bash the highlight of which is seeing Ms Klum’s Halloween costume, all of which are beautifully designed.

Here’s three of the best…

She’s been mildly offensive to the Hindu religion as their God Kali.

Spectacular! Give her a hand folks, not that she needs one. Arf! Arf!

She’s also been a strangely convincing cat; pointy teeth, whiskers, and a collar included.

The cat costume has been a regular sexy favourite at Halloween, but this costume is a bit too good. Finding it sexy feels a bit illegal.

And finally she’s been Lady Godiva, the lady who famously went on a midnight horse ride completely naked shouting “the British are coming! The British are coming!”.

Yes we know that’s incorrect, go elsewhere if you want a history lesson.

Unfortunately for humanity Heidi chickened out of having an accurate costume and wore a body suit that suggested nudity rather than actually showing us anything.

To make up for that she brought along the ultimate costume accessory, a freaking horse, who, judging by his expression wasn’t expecting to be photographed that night.

Apparently there was uproar later that night when the horse actually won first prize for his “horse costume”.
