Zach Braff is looking for help funding his latest movie.

He has created a Kickstarter for the film, ‘Wish I Was Here,’ and is asking for donations amounting to $2 million.

On his Kickstarter profile, Zach has revealed some of the plot for the film:

“Wish I Was Here” is the story of Aidan Bloom (played by me), a struggling actor, father and husband, who at 35 is still trying to find his identity; a purpose for his life. He and his wife are barely getting by financially and Aidan passes his time by fantasizing about being the great futuristic Space-Knight he’d always dreamed he’d be as a little kid.

The result is some funny chaos, until Aidan decides to scrap the traditional academic curriculum and come up with his own. Through teaching them about life his way, Aidan gradually discovers some of the parts of himself he couldn’t find.”

As we are publishing this, the Kickstarter pledges have already passed $1.3 million!

Bradley Cooper is denying rumors he’ll play Lance Armstrong on the big screen.

At Sunday’s SAG awards, Cooper denied that he is in the running to play Lance Armstrong in producer JJ Abrams’s upcoming biopic of the cyclist.

Film producer JJ Abrams suggested over the weekend that he’d spoken with Bradley Cooper about playing Lance Armstrong in his upcoming biopic, after Cooper recently calling the cyclist a “fascinating character”.

In an interview with Access Hollywood at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, the Silver Linings Playbook star responded with a “no” when asked about reports he’s been cast as the disgraced cyclist, adding “Oh my god, that’s so nuts!”

He went on to insist that he actually has no knowledge of Abrams’s film project, explaining “I was in Manchester, doing the BBC morning show… I had no idea what [the interviewer] was talking about. I didn’t even know that JJ has the rights, I had no idea.”

The film is being adapted from the book ‘Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong’ by Abrams’s production company Bad Robot.

The first trailer for The Lone Ranger, Starring Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer has been unveiled!

In the movie, native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice.

Assassin’s Creed is heading for the big screen.

‘Prometheus’ star Michael Fassbender has signed to star in and produce the film based on one of the most popular video game franchises ever.

Ubisoft has nabbed Michael Fassbender, one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors, to topline its big-screen adaption of Assassin’s Creed.

Fassbender will play Desmond Miles, a bartender who is a descendant of several lines of prominent assassins. The story weaves between present day and ancient times as Miles squares off with the Knights Templar.

When exactly ‘Assassin’s Creed’ will go into production is unclear. Whenever it happens though, we can probably expect a big box office win. A 2011 report from VG247.com reported that the games franchise had sold 30 million copies since 2007.

If those 30 million game sales turn into 30 million ticket sales, ‘Assassin’s Creed’ will end up in some pretty spectacular company at the box office.

Fox are making plans to show you how to get to Sesame Street!

The studio has picked up the rights to the iconic children’s TV show with longtime series writer Joey Mazzarino on board to write the screenplay.

Real Steel director Shawn Levy and his 21 Laps banner, along with Michael Aguilar, Mark Gordon and Film 360′s Guymon Casady are set produce a new Sesame Street movie for Fox, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Sesame Street has been developed for the big screen twice before, with 1985′s Follow That Bird and 1999′s The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland. The TV format is broadcast in dozens of countries around the world and it has also won 138 Emmys during its run.

The educational series, which premiered in 1969, features a combination of live-action and puppetry, as well as animation. It is best known as the home of the Jim Henson creations Big Bird, Bert and Ernie, Grover, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster and Elmo.

The newly announced film is the latest addition to a number of forthcoming Jim Henson films that have sprung from the wake of The Muppets’ success. Unsuprisingly, one of those will be a Muppets sequel, while the critters of Fraggle Rock will also be making their way onto the big screen in the near future.

The creator of 80′s TV series ALF wants to make an ALF movie.

Paul Fusco has spent the last four years trying to figure out how to make ALF into a movie and will soon be pitching the idea to major studios.

For those who need reminding, ALF was a late ’80s sitcom about a wise-cracking Alien Life Form (get it?) from planet Melmac, who crash-landed on Earth and took residence in a suburban home, where he tried to avoid detection by the neighbors while making recurring jokes about eating cats.

The series creator, Paul Fusco has resurfaced this week in an astonishingly comprehensive interview with The Hollywood Reporter, where he explains that the “timing is right” for an ALF movie…

“I think the timing is right. That’s a big important thing, timing… There have been movies out there of characters that I didn’t think were on the same parallel as ALF that got movies made, so I think it’s time. I think it could be a home run on a lot of levels.”

Curiously enough, Fusco also reveals “When I used to write an episode and couldn’t come up with a line for ALF, I needed something really funny, I would actually ask ALF… I would actually put the character on, and the character would just tell me what the line was.”

WOW. Well, we hope that an Alf movie does indeed get made, and we sincerely hope ALF gets the writing credit he deserves.
