Top Ten MTV Best Movie Kiss Winners
It’s that time of year again… when everyone has grown tired of all the pomp and circumstance of awards season.
It’s when, this Sunday, MTV come out with their own Movie Awards, a much more fun, youth-focussed awards show.
The most important cultural significance of this event is most certainly the coveted Best Kiss prize which is awarded to the sexiest, the slimiest, the funniest and the loveliest kisses of the year.
You can vote for one of this years Best Kiss nominees here. But ahead of this weeks ceremony, where the Twilight series is going for a three in a row, we thought we’d present our personal Top Ten best winners of Best Kiss over the years.

My Girl (1992)
Certainly the cutest, most innocent kiss of the bunch, this wildly successful coming-of-age drama was proof that Macauley wasn’t just a one-trick pony and Vada knew a catch when she saw one!
Dumb & Dumber ( 1995)
Ok, so it’s a fantasy kiss but it’s a very funny fantasy kiss and one which probably cost Jim Carrey quite a lot of female attention over the years…yuck!
A bit of girl-on-girl action always goes down well in the MTV Awards but this one is by far the dirtiest kiss of the bunch. Be warned, your temperatures will soar watching this…
The Wedding Singer (1998)
Who doesn’t love The Wedding Singer?? And this kiss definitely captures the overall sense of sweetness and joie de vivre that makes this film a classic!
Cruel Intentions (2000)
Probably the most infamous kiss of all the winners, Buffy gets her gay on as she teaches impressionable Selma Blair how to french kiss and a generation of teenage boys have a new favourite movie.
THAT kiss! This is what superheroes are made for and Sam Raimi’s Spiderman movie doesn’t shy away from the fun side of being able to hang upside down (much more fun than catching bad guys).
Starsky & Hutch (2004)
The first three-way kiss to win Best Kiss, this one from Starsky & Hutch was a surprisingly naughty scene in an otherwise fairly family-friendly movie…and that’s why we love it!!
The Notebook (2005)
Everybody’s favourite weepie…who could resist swooning when these two finally get it on?!
Brokeback Mountain (2006)
It’s not just the ladies who enjoy a swing to the other side, as Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger proved in this beautiful love story which became the first mainstream Hollywood movie to feature gay protagonists.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2010)
Going for a three in row this year. Here’s Kristen Stewart & Robert Pattinson’s winning kiss from 2009.
