Sam Smith has advised singletons to quit Tinder and Grindr after landing himself a new boyfriend without the need of a gay hook-up app.

The British singer says social apps are “ruining romance” adding that “We’re losing the art of conversation and being able to go and speak to people.”

Sam Smith has claimed that apps like Tinder and Grindr are “ruining romance”. He says that he prefers to meet guys the traditional way, rather than swiping left or right based on people’s appearances. Speaking to Metro, he said…

“No offence to people who go on Tinder but I just feel like it’s ruining romance, I really do. We’re losing the art of conversation and being able to go and speak to people and you’re swiping people.”

Through trial and error, he has learned to look beyond the superficial..

“From my experience the most beautiful people I’ve been on dates with are the dumbest, so why would I swipe people who are “unattractive” when I could potentially fall in love with them?… Stop Tinder and Grindr!”

Having only recently admitted to finding most of his latest dates “boring”, when referring to his current new love interest, he remained tight lipped, saying…

“I used to get really nervous but now I’m better. There is one particular guy that I’ve been on a few dates with. I like him but who knows?”
