Most Powerful Gay Celebrities 2013 - Ellen DeGeneres

Forbes magazine has officially published its 2013 ’100 Most Powerful Celebrities’ list.

Leading the small number of out gay celebrities featured on this years list, is the queen of daytime television, Ellen DeGeneres.

Oprah Winfrey has regained her ‘Most Powerful Celebrity’ title after two years in second place on the annual Forbes list. The 59-year-old made an estimated $77 million in the past year.

Lady GaGa places second on the list and is the most powerful musician on the countdown. Director Steven Spielberg ranks third thanks to the success of his film Lincoln.

Out of the 100 celebrities featured on this years Forbes ‘Most Powerful’ list, just two of them are out gay stars, with Ellen DeGeneres leading the pair.
