Gay Rights Drama Freeheld Adds Steve Carell To Cast
Gay rights drama, Freeheld, has added Steve Carell to its cast which already includes Ellen Page and Julianne Moore.
The film is based on the real life story of one couple’s fight for pension benefits after one of them becomes terminally ill.
Steve Carell is joining the film, Freeheld, which is a gay rights drama already starring Julianne Moore and Ellen Page. Freeheld is based on the true story of one couple’s (Laurel Hester and Stacie Andree) fight to get pension benefits after one of them becomes terminally ill.
Carell will be playing a supporting role in the film as Steven Goldstein, who is an advocate for equality. Zach Galifianakis was originally set to play Carell’s role, but had to leave due to scheduling conflicts.
Freeheld is to be directed by Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist, Petter Sollet.
