Facebook is set to host Europe’s first ever LGBT hackathon at their London Headquarters next month.

InterTech Diversity Forum will take over Facebook’s Covent Garden location for the hackathon that kicks off at 19:00 on November 22nd.

The InterTech Diversity Forum, the technology industry’s LGBT support and networking group is to hold its first LGBT hackathon at Facebook’s London headquarters between the 22nd and the 23rd of November 2013.

InterTech, which is backed by Microsoft, Google, Dell and Facebook is hoping that Europe’s first gay hackathon will lead to the development of up to 10 new apps and web products to help improve the lives of LGBT people around the world.

Asher Ismail, co-chairman of InterTech said…

“This hackathon will focus on building things to support LGBT+ causes and communities around the world.

We’ll hack through the night into the next day and wrap up with presentations and prizes for the best hacks.”
