1. Tom Cruise is the highest paid actor in Hollywood

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise Tom Cruise, who celebrated his 50th birthday on Tuesday amid speculation over whether his box office pull could be hurt by his impending divorce from Katie Holmes, reportedly earned 75 million dollars between May 2011 and May 2012.

On release of their annual list of Hollywood’s highest-earning male actors, Forbes states that “by our count Cruise earned $75 million between May 2011 and May 2012, making him the highest-paid actor in Hollywood.”

2. Anderson Cooper Officially Has Revealed He’s Gay

Anderson Cooper In a response to last week’s Entertainment Weekly cover story on the emerging trend of celebrities coming out of the closet in a very matter-of-fact way, Anderson Cooper has revealed his sexuality in a letter to Daily Beast blogger Andrew Sullivan. He says…

“The fact is, I’m gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud”.

4. Brad Pitts mother doesn’t like Barack Obama

Brad Pitt with his mother Jane Pitt and fiance Angelina Jolie Brad Pitt’s mother has written an anti-Barack Obama letter. Published in the Springfield News-Leader on Thursday, the note criticises Obama for being pro-choice and for his support of marriage equality. In the letter, Jane Pitt states…

“Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”

5. The Notebook Made R. Kelly Get Divorced

R Kelly In his new book Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me, R Kelly reveals that a screening of the classic Gosling-McAdams romantic weepie The Notebook forced him to come to terms with his failing marriage. He writes

“As the film credits started to roll, I couldn’t move, I burst into tears. People walking past me patted me on the back, trying to console me. The Notebook was beautiful, and I was crying because its hero and heroine had died together. But I was also crying because … my marriage had died. And there was nothing I could do to bring it back.”
