BAFTA Awards 2012 Winners

The winners of the 2012 BAFTA were announced at the weekend in London.

The Artist has continued its awards season dominance by winning seven 2012 Orange BAFTA Film Awards, including ‘Best Film’, ‘Director’ and ‘Original Screenplay’ for Michel Hazanavicius and a ‘Best Actor’ gong for its star Jean Dujardin.

Meryl Streep followed up on her Golden Globes win by taking home the ‘Best Actress’ award for her role as Margaret Thatcher in ‘The Iron Lady’.

The supporting gongs were awarded to Christopher Plummer for Beginners and The Help’s Octavia Spencer.
