Forbes have released their annual ‘fiction’ rich list.
The characters that make up this year’s list boast an aggregate net worth of $209.5 billion!
Forbes doesn’t just rank the world’s richest real people, they also took a look at the fictional characters that carry around the most cash. They take this list very seriously too, as Michael Noer from Forbes explains in the video above.
A smart and savvy dragon, an aged vampire and a Beverly Hillbilly are among the richest fictional characters, according to the new ranking.

Smaug, a hyper-intelligent, short-tempered dragon and the star of the upcoming ‘Lord of the Rings’ prequel whose estimated worth is a hefty $62 billion, tops this years list.
Together 2012′s richest fictional characters, including Richie Rich and Mr. Monopoly, have an aggregate net worth of $209.5 billion, up 59% from 2011.
