Microsoft has officially announced Xbox One as its next home game console.

Xbox One will be cloud-based and is being billed as an “all-in-one” game console and home entertainment centre.

The newly unveiled Microsoft Xbox One has an 8-core CPU, 8GB of RAM, 500GB hard drive and Blu-ray. The controller design is similar to the current Xbox 360 controller, with an improved d-pad and force feedback for both of the shoulder triggers.

The system will include a redesigned Kinect sensor, capturing video at 1080p and 60 frames per second. The new sensor can also detect new movements like wrist rotations and how the body shifts weight as it moves.

Microsoft has confirmed that while Xbox One won’t require an always-on connection, there will be a fee to play used games. Xbox One won’t work without Kinect attached, will support up to 1000 Xbox Live friends, and will carry over achievements from Xbox 360.

Ray Manzarek has died, aged 74.

The founding member of The Doors passed away on Monday at the RoMed Clinic in Rosenheim, Germany.

The Doors’ founding keyboardist, Ray Manzarek, died in Germany on Monday (May 20) after a long fight with cancer, the official Doors Facebook page announced. He was 74.

Ray formed The Doors in 1965 upon meeting poet Jim Morrison on Venice Beach. The Doors went on to become one of the most iconic and influential bands of the 1960s, selling over 100 million albums worldwide.

Manzarek is survived by his brothers Rick and James, his wife Dorothy, his son Pablo, and three grandchildren. Instead of flowers, the family’s asked that a donation be made in Manzarek’s name at www.standup2cancer.org.

Fugees Star Lauryn Hill is heading to jail.

The Grammy-winning singer has been sentenced to three months in prison for failing to pay taxes on earnings of around $1m.

Lauryn Hill has been sentenced to three months in prison for tax evasion. The former Fugees star will then spend three months on house arrest and nine months on supervised release.

Hill pleaded guilty in June 2012 to “intentionally and willingly” failing to file federal tax returns for the $1.8 million she earned between 2005 and 2007.

In a statement to the judge, Hill said that she intended to pay the taxes but could not after ending her music career. She told the court…

“I was put into a system I didn’t know the nature of… I’m a child of former slaves. I got into an economic paradigm and had that imposed on me. I sold 50 million units… now I’m up here paying a tax debt. If that’s not likened to slavery, I don’t know what is.”

Hill burst into mainstream popularity first with The Fugees, and then her 1998 solo album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” which won five Grammy awards. The singer, who has six children, will report to prison on July 8.

Mila Kunis has been named FHM’s ‘Sexiest Woman in the World’.

The actress topped the 2013 edition of the magazine’s annual 100-name list, with Rihanna coming in second place.

Gwyneth Paltrow might be the most beautiful, but Mila Kunis is the sexiest woman in the world, according to FHM.

The actress – who is dating Ashton Kutcher – beat 99 other female celebrities from across the globe to top the 2013 poll, taking the crown from the Brits for the first time in four years.

Kris Kross star Chris Kelly has died at the age of 34.

Kelly formed one half of the 1990′s kid rap duo, who are best known for their hit song ‘Jump’ (above).

Chris Kelly of the 1990′s rap duo Kris Kross, who made one of the decade’s most memorable songs with the chart topping ‘Jump’, has died aged 34.

Betty Honey of the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office said he was pronounced dead around 5pm local time on Wednesday at the Atlanta Medical Centre.

Chris Kelly, known as ‘Mac Daddy’, and Chris Smith, known as ‘Daddy Mac’, were discovered at the tender age of 13 in an Atlanta mall by music mogul Jermaine Dupri.

The energetic duo – whose trademark was wearing their baggy clothes backwards – burst onto the scene in 1992 with one of the biggest songs of the year, ‘Jump’, from their multi-platinum debut album ‘Totally Krossed Out’.

Respects for the late star have come flooding in on Twitter, with rapper LL Cool J even dedicating his new track ‘Jump On It’ to him…

Swedish police claim they have found drugs on Justin Bieber’s tour bus this week.

Police spokesperson Lars Bystrom said a “small amount of drugs” and a “stun gun” were found in the empty vehicle in Stockholm on Wednesday night.

Justin Bieber’s tour bus was reportedly raided by Swedish police on Wednesday (April 24) after they smelled a marijuana odour coming from the vehicle.

Officers on the scene apparently found “a small amount of alleged narcotics and an electroshock weapon” on the bus, according to police spokesperson Lars Byström. Bieber was not on the bus at the time.

According to TMZ no one will be charged in relation to the raid, because it’s unknown whom the drugs belonged to on the bus.

Meanwhile, the Biebs has tweeted what appears to be a reference to the story, saying “some of the rumors about me….where do people even get this stuff. whatever…back to the music”.

The 19-year-old pop star was caught smoking what was believed to be weed earlier this year, and the singer sort of apologised for it when he appeared on ‘Saturday Night Live’ in Februrary.

Snoop Lion appears to have confirmed that Miley Cyrus has split with Liam Hemsworth.

The rapper formerly known as Snoop Dogg has innocently mentioned that Cyrus, his collaborator on new track ‘Ashtrays and Heartbreaks’, “has a relationship that no longer exists”.

During a recent interview with Huffington Post Live, Snoop Lion appears to have confirmed that Miley Cyrus and her finace Liam Hemsworth have broken up. The rapper said…

“We both just going through something right now… I can’t speak for her, you know what I’m saying, but I know that she has a relationship that no longer exists. I know she’s probably in a transformation change with her life, her music, her career.”

Describing Cyrus as an “awesome artist”, he added that “She knows what she wants in life and maybe this is a time for her to take charge.”

Five teenage girls have agreed to “convert to Islam” to win Justin Bieber concert tickets.

Taken in by a sketch on Norway’s Ann-Kat Hærland comedy show, the girls remove their make-up, put on hijabs and recite Islamic creed in Arabic.

Justin Bieber fans have ‘converted to Islam’ on television in a bid to secure tickets to one of his shows. The fans tried to see their hero in concert by taking part in a stunt featured on a comedy show called ‘Anne-Kat’, hosted by award-winning comedienne Anne-Katrine Hegna Hærland.

Halyor Northug, Bishop of the Norwegian Lutheran Church, told Norwegian news website Dagen that the stunt on ‘Anne-Kat’ “testifies to Hærland’s lack of understanding of how much faith means to a lot of people” adding “This is an example of an idea where irony and lack of respect turns into something tragic.”

Anne-Kat reporter Yousef asks the young female fans to remove their makeup, don hijabs and read an oath declaring “Justin Bieber is unclean and probably gay” in order to win tickets to the show. See how it all goes down in the video above.

Get Lucky is taken from the duo’s upcoming fourth studio album ‘Random Access Memories’, their first studio LP since 2005′s ‘Human After All’.

Snoop Lion thinks homosexuality may never be seen as “acceptable” in rap music.

The rapper suggested that the current “masculine attitude of hip-hop” made it difficult, in the same way as being openly gay is a challenge in the sporting world.

When Snoop Lion aka Snoop Dogg was asked by The Guardian whether Frank Ocean’s recent coming out was a sign of progress in rap music, he suggested that the current “masculine attitude of hip-hop” still made it difficult, in much the same way as being openly gay is a challenge in the team sporting arena.

“He’s a singer. It’s acceptable in the singing world, but in the rap world I don’t know if it will ever be acceptable because rap is so masculine,” Snoop said of Ocean.

“It’s like a football team,” he added. “You can’t be in a locker room full of motherfucking tough-ass dudes, then all of a sudden say, ‘Hey, man, I like you.’ You know, that’s going to be tough.”

However, the rapper who recently spoke out in support of gay marriage in America, did want to stress his personal acceptance of gay people…

“I don’t have a problem with gay people. I got some gay homies. [He looks round the room and laughs.] Yeah, for real. People who were gay used to get beat up. It was cool to beat up on gay people back then. But in the 90s and 2000s, gay is a way of life. Just regular people with jobs. Now they are accepted, not classified. They just went through the same things we went through as black.”

John Mayer has confirmed that he and Katy Perry have broken up.

The couple were first rumoured to have separated in late March, with a supposed insider claiming that Mayer feared dating Perry would ruin his artistic credibility.

John Mayer has confirmed that he and Katy Perry have broken up on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week, after being wished well by the chatshow host.

“It was a very private relationship going in. It was a private relationship during, and it’s a private relationship still,” Mayer explained.

He went on to say: “I can understand asking the question [about our split] based on some previous answers I have given, but I have finally learned how to put the wall between one thing and the other.

“I’ve been much happier since then. I’m on the same journey as everyone else. Coupling is a tricky thing. It’s a tricky thing. I want everyone to be happy.”

Mayer also discussed his recent health issues and how drinking affected the granuloma in his throat, which forced him to undergo surgery and kept him off stage: “It’s just like applying poison to your body. It’s like applying a shellac of poison. It’s just delicious, wonderful poison that makes you not care how late you’re out ’til or where you’re going. I had to really say, ‘I like singing and writing more than I like delicious scotch.’ I had to really dial it down. And I’m a little more boring now.”

Now that he is on the mend, Mayer is set to embark on a massive tour – his first in three years – that will take him through North and South America.

Justin Bieber has been accused of threatening to kill his neighbour.

It emerged this week that Bieber is being investigated after a “verbal altercation” with a nearby resident.

According to reports from a number of US gossip websites, one of Justin Bieber’s neighbours has filed a battery report against him this week in response to an alleged “heated altercation” with the 19-year-old singer at his LA mansion.

Alleged details of the incident have emerged in a series of reports, with TMZ claiming that the argument began after the neighbour accused Bieber of driving “unbelievably recklessly” in the area.

The man involved allegedly believes that Bieber was driving at speeds of up to 100mph and confronted him because he was concerned about the safety of his wife, who was out walking their dog.

Sources have now told TMZ that after the neighbour shouted: “You can’t drive like this,” Bieber told him: “Get the f**k out of here.” The singer then reportedly spat in the man’s face and told him: “I’m going to f**king kill you.”

Although no official response has come from Bieber’s reps, a source close to the situation has told Hollywood Life “These claims are not true. This person was trespassing on Justin’s property while yelling at him.”
